I volunteered to do characters for this project. There are three characters that I have to create- Macbeth, Duncan and a Guard. However after some time went by I felt I would need some extra help in creating them. in this case I asked Sandra for aid and asked her if she could create Duncan as I felt three character were too much for me.

Face Iterations using Robert Mailet, Kenneth Branner and Michael Fasbender As inspiration
Much of the iterating doesn't require much concepting, as the clothing was fairly simple back in the 11th century. I decided to start off with Macbeth, as he is the playable character in the level. I started off with face and hairstyle iterations. I used Canadian Wrestler and actor Robert Mailet as inspiration for the face as he I believe has the Macbeth look I’m going for. In the end I decided to go with the short hair but loose the face paint and add a scar on the cheek as the face paint was more of a combat insignia rather than a casual thing.

Rough sketches for clothing

Photobashing- taking the chosen rough sketches to the next level
After this I then made a few sketches involving clothing, using the inspiration of the clothing worn by Kenneth Branner and Michael Fasbender who also played Macbeth in the past. From here I did further iterating involving photobashing and developing and scrapping ideas as I go along.

High Poly So Far, may Involve Alpha channels for the hair when it comes to the final Model design
After this I then made a start on the modelling starting off with the high poly. at this precise moment time I am trying to get to know marvellous designer as I believe this will provide me with more convincing clothing. However if I feel that the software is disagreeing with the model i import in i will result to using zbrush for the clothing.
